Design & Build Quality
The new design and materials have amped up the Xlim Pro and have contributed to a beautiful device. The Xlim Pro is 111mm tall, 24mm wide and 14mm deep. The Xlim Pro and Xlim C are pretty much identical in size, but the Xlim Pro is significantly heavier, weighing 66g, whereas the Xlim C weighs only 45g.
The device’s weight increase has a lot to do with the newer and higher quality materials. There are eight different design options for the Xlim Pro. The one that I am using for this review is the Black Gold option, which features black carbon fiber panels and a gold bezel.
The front of the device has a mini OLED screen centered in the middle. This screen provides all necessary information with the click of a button.
This screen tells you your wattage level, whether the device is locked or unlocked, the resistance of the coil installed, and even the puff count. The screen only turns on when the power button is pressed, whether you click it once to check the screen or you use the button to draw. The screen does not illuminate when you use draw activation.
Airflow
The airflow adjustment on the Xlim Pro is very similar to that of previous versions of the Xlim lineup. The Xlim Pro features a slider adjustment airflow that has three slots. Whether you like a more restricted mouth to lung draw or a looser mouth to lung draw the Xlim Pro’s adjustable airflow allows you to set it to exactly what you like.
I found that both pods provided similar airflow and I wasn’t able to notice too much of a difference between the two.
Battery & Charging
The Oxva Xlim Pro comes with a 1000mAh battery that is rechargeable using Type-C. The battery size has been increased, but will that allow for longer lasting battery life than the XLIM C?
Well, I found that the battery lasted about the same amount of time as the Xlim C device, about two days of use. Considering that the battery size has been increased, I can only assume that the RGB light bar is eating up some of the battery, as it illuminates every time you take a puff.
Once I turned off the light, I noticed that I was able to get more time vaping out of a charge. I am a fan of the RGB lights though, so two days without needing a charge is good enough for me. But for those of you looking to get as much time as possible without having to recharge, you might want to turn off the RGB lighting.
Even with the RGB light on, I was still able to get two full pods and over two days of usage before needing to charge the device. It takes less than an hour to charge the device from completely dead. The Xlim Pro supports pass-thru charging so you won’t be stranded for a device when it dies.
How to use the oxva xlim Pro 30w pod system
The Xlim Pro offers some features that are useful, while still not being too overwhelming for new users. These features include allowing you to adjust the wattage, locking the device, and adjusting the RGB LED bar. For those of you who are newer to vaping, the features are easy enough to use.
To turn on the device, press the power button 5 times. To adjust the wattage, click the power button three times and your wattage number should start flashing. Then you can press the power button to increase the wattage by 0.5W increments.
The Xlim Pro will round robin the wattage so once you reach the max wattage for the resistance of the coil you have inserted, it will go right back to 5W again.
A great feature for newer users is that when you insert a pod, the device automatically sets it to the recommended wattage. This will give you an idea of where to start. Then you can increase or decrease the wattage to your liking. Another great feature is that the device will not allow you to set the wattage to higher than what the coil can handle.
Locking and unlocking the device is also very easy. To unlock or lock the device, simply press the power button four times.
